Okavango Delta, Botswana
Wilderness Seba Camp
A family-friendly camp in the Delta
In an ancient riverine forest deep in the Okavango Delta, Wilderness Seba Camp overlooks a lagoon with prolific birdlife and resident pods of hippo. There are eight spacious tents, each with an en-suite bathroom and a private deck with magnificent vistas. Wilderness Seba Camp also has two family suites to accommodate groups of varying sizes. One has an open lounge on the upper deck while the other has a loft room suitable for older children or adults. There’s also an elevated deck with its own small swimming pool. Well-lit paths lead to the communal bar and dining area, a lounge-library and a secluded swimming pool to refresh and relax in after a game drive.
The Wilderness Seba Camp area is known for its large elephant population and leopard have become the stars of the show in the Seba area. Unlike the permanently submerged areas of the Okavango Delta, the habitats around Wilderness Seba Camp vary greatly meaning a wonderful variety of game, including giraffe, zebra, antelope such as impala, tsessebe, lechwe and wildebeest, and buffalo and warthog. Hyaena and African wild dog are also regularly seen, while a number of lion have moved into the area, and can sometimes be heard roaring at night. There are a range of activities here, including day and night game drives, mokoro dugout canoe excursions, boating, fishing, birding and nature words. As a camp geared towards families, all of these can be made suitable for children of all ages.
