Korkor Lodge

Korkor Lodge is located in the eastern Tigray region, surrounded by the beautiful Gheralta Mountains.

The lodge consists of several bungalows which have been built to mimic the traditional Tigrinia building style. The stones used to build the walls are from the surrounding countryside and age-old techniques used to create the bungalows. Each one features an open plan bedroom and living room, a bathroom and a shaded verandah from which to admire the epic landscape. Guests can enjoy both Ethiopian and international food from the lodge’s restaurant.

There are over 140 churches and archaeological sites in the surrounding area from historic rock-carved churches to hermitages, shrines and ancient Sabean and Axumite sites.
