    The Kruger

    Simbavati Hilltop Lodge

Perched atop a koppie (a small hill) in the wildlife-rich Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, Simbavati Hilltop Lodge enjoys remarkable panoramic views. They stretch across the bush, over the Nhlaralumi River and towards the distant foothills of the Drakensberg mountain range.

Timbavati lies along the western border of the Kruger National Park, one of Africa’s largest nature reserves in northeastern South Africa. With no fences between them, wildlife moves freely across the shared wilderness.

Eight pavilion-style luxury tents each comprise two separate canvas suites, one bedroom and one bathroom connected by a covered walkway. French doors open onto an expansive private viewing deck with a plunge pool and a sala daybed, where you can gaze out across the bush.

When you’re not out on game drives, cool off in the refreshing waters of the infinity pool or settle into the lounge. Head to the viewing deck for a sundowner, ending the evening with a exquisite meal under the stars.
