Nimali Tarangire sits in a private concession on the eastern boundary of Tarangire National Park, an area dotted with tumescent baobab trees and large concentration of elephants.

Just six stylish tents can be found along the edge of a riverbed between acacia trees. Each is large with a private game viewing deck and en suite bathrooms with fixed walls and rain showers.

The main areas comprise of a spacious lounge, library and a central dining area that overlooks the swimming pool and a waterhole that attracts wildlife. You can also dine privately on the decking area outside your tent or out in the bush.

Only open during the prime game viewing months, this luxury 7 tented Camp offers you a rather contemporary and stylish seasonal camp that takes advantage of the seasonal game movement in this beautiful park.

Between June and October, the camp is located near the continuously flowing Tarangire River and the Silale Swamp which attracts huge numbers of game. Animals roam through and past the camp daily as they make their way to waters to quench their thirst and with early departures from camp, you will be able to maximise your game viewing from this well located camp.

Guided bush walks get you a little bit closer to the game and the experiences can be quite exhilarating.

Each of the seven tents are decorated with a modern African flair and give you plenty of space to relax when you aren’t out seeking the game in the vehicles or on foot. With massive duvets and wooden floorboards, the rooms are cosy and offer you a homely sanctuary in the middle of the African wilderness, where the noise of the bush sounds closer than it might be.

The main tent is large and has huge comfortable sofas which you can lounge about in during the afternoons and in the evenings a large campfire is ideal for some safari story sundowners.

Lake Burunge Tented Camp is on the shores of Lake Burunge and located in the migratory corridor of Manyara and Tarangire, a short drive from Tarangire National Park itself. The camp is located within a 25,000-hectare concession area dedicated to the conservation of the local Maasai community.

There are 20 large luxury tents and 10 lodge rooms in shady bushland with views out onto Lake Burunge.

The main building, the setting for a central lounge, bar and dining area, sits on a raised wooden deck to make the best of the views and is a fine spot to watch the sun disappear over the lake by a warm fireplace. Private dining on your deck and picnics can also be arranged.

As well as safaris into the national park, other activities here include spectacular sundowners from atop a nearby kopje and visits to a nearby village to meet the local Mbuwge people and learn about their culture.

Kuro is tucked away within a secluded wilderness at the heart of the Tarangire National Park. Immerse yourself in Tanzania’s wild beauty and encounter captivating creatures, whilst surrounded by acacia groves and kigali trees on the banks of the Tarangire river.

As an authentic tented camp, Kuro has a rustic safari feel with a comfortable, cosy and relaxed atmosphere. The area is rich in wildlife and high levels of guiding here will enhance your experience. An excellent location for game viewing, watch out for the big buffalo herds, elephant families and sightings of gerenuk, the rare antelope. Rarely for a camp in a National Park, guests can enjoy both day and night game drives, as well as walking safaris directly from camp into the open plains and baobab studded woodland.
