Mahe is the largest island in Seychelles, with a beautiful display of lush mountains with towering granite peaks, up to 905 metres high at Morne Seychellois.

Dense cloud forests cover large parts of the interior, drop down to a tropical coastline strung with sweeping sandy beaches and secret coves. The island is home to the capital city Victoria, a great place to visit for the day to experience the arts and crafts markets.

When to go

Mahe and the Seychelles enjoys a warm tropical climate all year round. April to May, and September to November are considered the best times to go, but even in the months considered the monsoon season, the showers are short and intermittent.
