On arrival at the reserve, you will have the opportunity to cycle along the winding road to the historical landmark of Cape Point, the most South-Western point of Africa (weather permitting). The reserve is home to an array of fynbos, over 250 species of birds, buck, baboons and Cape mountain zebra. Continue to enjoy views from Cape Point Lighthouse before travelling to the naval base at Simon's Town.

Enjoy a delicious lunch before proceeding to Boulders Beach for a visit to the penguin colony. Well-placed wooden walkways allow visitors to see these delightful little creatures in their natural habitat without invading their privacy too much. After visiting the penguins you stop (time & tide permitting) on a lovely semiprivate beach for swimming. Return to Cape Town in the late afternoon. At all times you will have a guide and vehicle back up.

Onward over the scenic Helshoogte Pass, to Franschhoek, founded by French Huguenots over 350 years ago, and widely regarded as the culinary capital of South Africa. Its beautiful setting and café lined streets will charm you and a further wine tasting is included at one of the renowned estates here. Your final stop is at the town of Paarl, at the foot of a cluster of remarkable granite domes where you enjoy your final wine tasting before heading back to Cape Town.
