For encounters with endangered and highly curious Orang-utans, Jacada can organise trips to Sepilok to view them in the wild, one of the few places to do so. For a relaxing end to your family trip, Borneo’s collections of tropical islands off the coast of Kota Kinabalu provide some excellent snorkelling and diving sites. Family-friendly resorts in the region host a range of activities such as water sports, quad-bike safaris and catamaran cruises.

    When to visit Borneo

The best time to visit Borneo is between March and October as the climate is hot and dry during this time. Expect daytime temperatures between 24°C and 33°C (75°F–91°F). The rainy season runs from November to March.

To spot orangutans and other wildlife, we recommend travelling from July to October.
