Sandoway Resort

Sheltered by swaying coconut palms and perched on the edge of a pristine white-sand beach, it doesn’t get much more idyllic than the Sandoway Resort. This is the perfect retreat at which to relax after a sightseeing trip through Myanmar.

There are several different room types available at the Sandoway. Spread out through the lush tropical gardens of the resort, the villas and cottages have thatched roofs and warm, wooden interiors, each suite secluded for a wonderfully private retreat. The beach front and village cottages are particularly attractive: two-storey detached buildings, complete with large living areas, private verandas and direct access to the beach.

The resort features a number of facilities. Although rooms do not have television sets, there is a 58-seat movie theatre showing classic films, a library with views of the beach, and even a piano bar in which to spend your evenings. With its position on the edge of the Bay of Bengal, the seafood at the Sandoway is delicious, and the open-air hotel restaurant is designed to make the most of the panoramic ocean view.
