We’ve teamed up with Aman hotels to create an itinerary around Southeast Asia that takes luxury travel to a new level.
Begin in Laos, where the locals joke the name Laos PDR (People’s Democratic Republic) stands for Laos: Please Don’t Rush. Luang Prabang is a small, charming town where the ornate, golden Buddhist temples sit alongside the French colonial architecture and bakeries.
Spend three nights here, wandering the cobbled streets, sampling an array of Asian cuisine at the night market, travelling to the sparkling waterfalls tucked into the forest around Luang Prabang, and watching the world go by from an al fresco bar on the banks of the Mekong River.
Next up is three nights in Siem Reap, the gateway to Cambodia’s mighty Angkor temple complex. These temples date back to the 9th century and are the relics of the powerful Khmer Empire. As well as exploring these ancient ruins, there are plenty of opportunities for exploring the rural area around the town.
Polish off your time in Southeast Asia with five glorious days on Thailand’s sun-soaked Phuket coastline at Amanpuri, the original Aman hotel.

Check in to your room at the amazing Amansara, just 10 minutes away from Angkor Wat.
During your time in Siem Reap we can arrange privately guided specialist tours to show you the best of city, Angkor Wat and the Khmer temples in the region.
Just 10 minutes away from the Amansara lies majestic Angkor Wat. Spend a few hours wandering around the ruins alongside your highly-knowledgeable guide. Return again the next day if your schedule permits.
Encircled by tropical forest, this vast and iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site is adorned with grand lotus towers and ornate carvings and reigns as the largest religious monument in the World. Our expert guide will bring the history of Angkor Wat to life as you meander through peaceful Buddhist temples, getting up close to exquisite bas-reliefs of huge smiling faces.
Escape the town centre bustle and cycle out to the surrounding rice paddies. Here you’ll find farmers working the fields, locals fishing in the rivers, gathering lotus flowers and harvesting fruit and nectar from sugar palm trees. Cycle past villages where the locals weave silk and work in palm farms, and excitable kids run out waving and shouting. Uncover ancient 10th-century temples tucked into the forest, far away from the crowds of the main Angkor temples. Here amongst the trees a picnic will be waiting for you to enjoy before travelling by oxcart back to Siem Reap.
