Borobudur Temple
Cycling and hiking

Private guided tour of Borobudur Temple at dawn
The largest Buddhist temple in the world, Borobudur Temple is intricately decorated with 504 life-sized Buddha statues. From the top gallery, you can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding volcanoes and terraced fields of Central Java. A private guide will lead you through the temple’s intricate beauty and bring its history to life.

Village Cycling and Suroloyo Peak Hike
Cycle to Kali Tengah Village, stopping off at points of interest along the way, to begin your trek to Suroloyo, walking through farms and clove and coffee plantations. Here, you’ll climb the 280 steps to the peak of the Menoreh Hills for incredible views down the valley and the mountains beyond.
Days 4–7
Three nights on a peaceful Sumbanese retreat
Spend three nights on Sumba at Cap Karoso, set on Karoso Beach in the Kodi region. Food is a big part of your stay. The Beach Club leans into Mediterranean-Indonesian dishes using produce from the resort’s permaculture farm and the day’s local catch. At Julang, you’ll enjoy an intimate fine-dining experience with just 20 seats. And a regularly rotating menu that often features a guest chef.
Among the experiences, you can surf right nearby, snorkel the Kodi reef at Pahewa Beach and swim or paddleboard in Weekuri Lake. We also love pairing it with a traditional village visit and an ikat weaving workshop to learn about the culture. End the day slowing down with a Malala Spa ritual in a traditional Sumbanese house.

Embark on an afternoon cruise
Make incredible family memories by taking a private boat out for an incredible journey along Sumba’s coastline this afternoon. Discover hidden snorkelling spots, try your hand at fishing and soak in the beauty of this stunning island paradise.

Join a private surfing lesson
Enjoy a morning surf with an expert instructor. The location is chosen on the day to match your level and make the most of the day’s sea and weather conditions. If you’re a beginner, lessons usually stay close to Cap Karoso’s Beach Club on Karoso Beach, where the waves are mellow and forgiving. And for more advanced, your guide can take you to nearby breaks around Pero Beach for faster, more technical waves.

A waterfall hike and village visit
Head into West Sumba’s Wanokaka District for Lapopu Waterfall. It’s a multi-level cascade of around 90 metres with clear pools where you can swim. Then travel with your private guide to Prai Ijing near Waikabubak to see traditional houses and megalithic tombs. Here, learn about local culture, where rice paddies and weaving are part of everyday life.
Days 7–11
Five days aboard your luxury Komodo Island cruise
Spend five perfect days sailing around the marine-rich, azure waters of the Komodo Islands, enjoying complete rest and relaxation alongside visits to lush islands and pristine beaches. Diving and snorkelling around the Komodo Islands
The water around Komodo island contains some of the richest marine biodiversity on the planet. Expect to witness a dazzling kaleidoscope of fish darting about the coral reefs, as well as manta rays and even sharks. Even seasoned divers will be captivated by the spectrum of marine life beneath these turquoise waves.

Visit the Pink Beach on Komodo Island
One of only a handful of pink beaches on the planet, the rosy-hued sands of Komodo Island’s Pink Beach make for a beach day unlike any other. Set off by private speedboat from Labuan Bajo, which is the only way to access this secluded strip of land. It’s part of Komodo National Park, and beyond the beach you’ll find exceptionally beautiful wildlife and natural habitats to explore.

Trekking to see the dragons on Rinca and Komodo Island
Set out on a private guided trek to Komodo National Park to catch a glimpse of these legendary lizards. They may have a fearsome reputation, but the chance to see the world’s largest lizard in the world is simply awe-inspiring.
