Sun, sea and city life combine
Slow the pace and while away your days listening to the gentle waves lap stony shores as you watch yachts drift across the horizon. The Black Sea is the perfect destination for a good dose of relaxation and adventure. This part of Georgia offers you access to excellent beaches that are perfect for family trips or romantic getaways.
Many of the beaches along the Black Sea have small pebbles and stones instead of sand. They’re frequented by many Georgians, so a visit here means you get to truly relax like a local. The beaches of Kobuleti and Ureki are particularly well worth adding to your private tour.
Head south along the coast and you’ll find one of the best places to really unwind – Batumi, the capital of Adjara. There’s more to do here than just soak up the sun on a pebbled beach – head out into the clear, warm water for scuba diving and boat trips.
In Batumi itself, spend some time exploring the lush botanical gardens, full of beautiful flora from around the world. Take a tour to learn about the city’s contemporary architecture, and visit Alphabetic Tower which symbolises the Georgian alphabet, and also incorporates the familiar double helix pattern of DNA.
