The Istoria sits on the black volcanic sand beach of Perivolos, on the famous island of Santorini. The hotel’s pool is impressively large, made with a spectacular green artisan tile work, ensconced within protective walls and surrounded by inviting sun loungers and to one side is the statement sunken pool bar. Mr. E Restaurant serves delicious Greek dishes, often reimagined but always instilling a splendid simplicity that suits the fresh, local ingredients. They serve an abundance of local seafood – best savoured with a glass of sublime Santorinian wine.
