Built in 1681, Les Trois Rois is one of the oldest city hotels in Europe. Its glorious halls, rooms and suites carry with them an old-world charm while guestbook names such as Pablo Picasso, James Joyce, and Hans Christian Andersen lend a certain gravitas to its already sophisticated splendour.
Located on the banks of the Rhine, this legendary hotel sits in the heart of Basel and has incredible views of the iconic waterway. Each of its 101 rooms are beautifully furnished with antique pieces and luxe fabrics, and equipped with the latest amenities and comforts.
Many of the rooms come with their own balcony while the largest suite has its own rooftop Jacuzzi. Although the emperor never stayed there, the Napoleon Suite is an homage to his era with charming frescoes, ceiling panels and stucco work complimented by the unique corner salon.
Cheval Blanc with three Michelin stars is recognised as being one of the best restaurants in the world, serving a unique brand of French haute cuisine with elements of Mediterranean flavours. The Brasserie is dedicated to using fresh and local produce from the market and five minutes from the hotel you’ll find Restaurant Chez Donati serving mouthwatering Italian cuisine.
After a day of sightseeing, sink into one of the large leather chairs in the bar, relax to the sound of live piano music and enjoy afternoon tea or a fine selection of drinks and canapes.
