A chic mountainside hideaway, the Paradies sits in an idyllic alpine valley in Ftan that’s as beautiful covered in a blanket of snow in the winter as it is surrounded by flowering meadows in the summer months.
The main buildings dates back to the early 20th century and has a cool Bauhaus feel complimented by selected artworks and antiques, and its 23 airy rooms feature balconies or terraces with sublime mountain views, with suites enjoying roaring fireplaces and some with separate living areas.
There are two restaurants – Charn Alpina which focuses on fine meat specialities and Cucagna that serves local produce. During the summer, celebrated chef Daniel Stutz hosts cooking classes in a mountain hut over a wood-burning stove, a truly unique culinary treat. There’s also a mountain view terrace, cosy library and a grand piano bar orientated around a fire.
Breakfast and parking are complimentary. The hotel has 2 restaurants, and a mountain-view terrace with a bar. An indoor bar has a fireplace and a grand piano, and there’s a library.
The hotel’s spa offers magnificent views of the Silvretta summit, a fine place to end up after a day of exploring the hiking and biking trails that start from here. And, in the winter, the pistes of the Motta Naluns ski resort are just a short ride away.
