Days 1–5
Under the midnight sun in Swedish Lapland
Summertime in Swedish Lapland means basking in the midnight sun and exploring mountain trails on foot and by mountain bike. At any time of year, the region is a magical place filled with natural wonder, folklore and a rich cultural heritage – Swedish Lapland has long been home to the nomadic Sámi people and on this trip you will meet Lars Eriksson and his family in the forests of Flakaberg to learn about Sámi life and culture. You will meet their reindeer and enjoy a traditional lunch served in a timber cottage on their homestead.

Mountain biking in the forests of Råne River Valley
This is an exciting cross country mountain bike ride in the surrounding forests of Råne River Valley. You’ll cycle along a mix of roads, trails and single tracks with some up and downhill, and there will the chance to spot wildlife along the way. Enjoy a stop for lunch in a scenic spot. Approximately five hours.

White water rafting on the Kamlunge Rapids
Enjoy a real paddle adventure on the river rapids (rafting class II-IV). Your guide will equip you with life vest, wetsuit, helmet and wet shoes and after security and paddle instructions, raft along the dramatic Kamlunge rapids for approximately 3.5 hours, stopping for lunch by the riverbank.

Fishing with a skilled guide
Today you’ll fish from a well-equipped boat for perch and pike with a skilled guide. Try different methods such as spinning, jigging and fly and practice ecological fishing with catch and release. Enjoy a stop for lunch on the lakeside by a camp fire.
Days 5–6
Norway’s city gateway to the fjords
A city filled with history and tradition, Bergen enjoys a small-town charm and is easily explored on foot. Stroll around the fairy-tale-like old cobbled streets and small wooden houses and discover the Hanseatic wharf, Bryggen, with its unique architecture that saw this area designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.
On your explorations be sure to stop at the city’s fish market for a little bit of local hustle and bustle in a picturesque setting before taking a trip up the funicular to Mount Floyen for remarkable views back across Bergen.

Vikafjell Mountain Plateau Hike

The scenic Vikafjell Mountain Plateau is a stunning land of snowy peaks, lakes and rivers and high alpine meadows. The plateau covers an area of 1000 km3 and approximately 1/3 is under protection as a Landscape Preservation Area. The suggested 3-5mile hike (flexible length) starts at 1000m.a.s.l and has few ascends and descends. En route you will stop frequently to take photos, search for the large herds of wild reindeer that dwell in the region and to learn more about the local nature and culture. There will also be time to enjoy a packed lunch.
Days 6–8
The serenity and beauty of the Norwegian fjords
Norway is bigger than most people realise, and its incredible coastline seems to go on forever. The Norwegian fjords are an epic landscape of deep valleys, gushing waterfalls, craggy mountain peaks and mirror-like waters, and a great way to explore is on a fjord cruise.

Hop on a Zodiac-style boat and explore Finnabotten, a very narrow branch of the fjord surrounded by high snow capped mountains.

A high-speed fjord cruise
Board a high-speed catamaran and cruise along the beautiful fjord from Flåm to Balestrand.

A four-hour cruise on the Sognefjord
The spectacular four-hour cruise will go along the entire Sognefjord before heading south along the coast to Bergen. En route you will make several stops in the small villages along the fjord.

A ride on the Flåm railway
Enjoy a train ride on the famous Flåm Line from Flåm to Myrdal, taking in the incredible scenery along the way.

A bike tour through the the scenic Flåm Valley
Enjoy a 10km bike tour in the lower part of the scenic Flam Valley. At the innermost bank of the Aurlandsfjord, surrounded by steep mountains, thundering waterfalls and narrow valleys, Flåm is one of Norway’s most scenic locations. The first part of this route has 21 steep hairpin turns and will be walked for those who are less experienced bikers.

A kayaking tour of the still waters of Balestrand, which is part of Sognefjord. Paddle through a pristine environment, surrounded by soaring peaks cloaked in greenery.
Days 8–9
A final night back in Bergen
Often touted as one of Norway’s most enjoyable cities, Bergen boasts some of the region’s best restaurants, museums and galleries, meaning that you’ll have no trouble keeping yourself entertained before your flight home.
