Galle Fort Hotel

Right in the heart the historic old town, the Galle Fort Hotel takes up residence in a wonderfully restored 17th century mansion built for a Dutch gem merchant. Set around a breezy colonnaded courtyard, think dark wooden shutters, carefully selected antiques and welcoming service.

There are 12 bedrooms, ranging from rooms overlooking the courtyard’s pool and gardens, to spacious double height suites with period four poster beds and apartments ideal for families.

Fabulously fresh dinners blending – much like Galle itself – Eastern and Western influences are served on the veranda. The terrace bar is also a nicely atmospheric place for cocktails or beer.
