A frontier city at the end of the world, Ushuaia has grand appeal of really being on the last outpost of civilisation before the icy sweeps of the Antarctic.

The reason it’s a destination on many of our Argentina tours is the presence of the Beagle channel which provides the opportunity to take a boat trip and explore the waters and islets of this most dramatic of coastlines. A real sense of frontier can be found here and there is something quite mythical about venturing to this southernmost point.

The national parks here are truly beautiful with some great hikes, visits to local penguin colonies and even helicopter flights to enjoy. Stop at Ushuaia on one of our bespoke Argentina tours, and you’ll be captivated by this majestic outpost.
