Sultry Caribbean island life and barrier reefs

The largest of the Cayes off the north coast of Belize, Ambergris is this country’s – if not Central America’s – most popular island destination.

Its proximity to the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef (the world’s second-largest) and the warm Caribbean seas draw many people here for the truly excellent snorkelling, scuba diving and laid-back island life. Protected by the reef, the waters are calm and crystal clear making this a beautiful setting with an abundance of coral and sea life to explore.

The island has seen quite a bit of development in response to its popularity, but not to worry because we’ve selected the best and most exclusive properties below that will allow you to relax and enjoy the calm waters, silky sands and cool Caribbean vibe.

Highlights

Snorkel or dive at world-class coral reef

Try your hand at fishing

Relax on white-sand beaches

Every moment here feels like a postcard come to life – whether you're swimming with rays, exploring ancient ruins or simply soaking in the stunning sunsets.
