Explore jungles and reefs, volcanoes and beaches in this incredible region
From the breathtaking coral reefs of Belize and the misty cloud forests of Costa Rica, to awe-inspiring archeological sites in Guatemala and the beautiful beaches of Panama – Central America is a region of beguiling diversity. Each country offers you the opportunity to explore vibrant landscapes and embrace adventure all while enjoying all the comforts that the finest luxury accommodations provide on your Central America vacation.
Guatemala is a land of volcanoes, serene highland lakes and rolling jungles. Once the heart of the Maya civilization, there is a wealth of ancient monuments to discover across the country. The mystical ruins of Tikal and the earthquake-defying Baroque architecture of Antigua beckon. As do the enduring traditions and cultures passed down through generations.
Tucked between Mexico and Guatemala, Belize boasts an engaging blend of history, culture and wildlife. Near the Cayo District you’ll discover underground sites, like the Actun Tunichil Muknal (Cave of the Crystal Sepulchre), which contain Ancient Mayan ceramics and stoneware. And the country is also home to the largest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere, allowing for some excellent diving and snorkelling near Ambergris Caye.
From jungle waterfalls and white-sand beaches to volcanoes and rainforests, Costa Rica is a place for nature lovers and adrenaline seekers, with incredible landscapes and stunning wildlife to discover. Explore the lush treetops in Arenal, marvel at the astounding birdlife of the Osa Peninsula and take a food and culture walking tour through the Southern Caribbean town of Puerto Viejo.
Finally, there’s Panama, a narrow country overflowing with incredible wildlife, culture and outdoor activities. From swimming with turtles in translucent blue seas to trekking through stunning rainforests, your time here will be memorable.

When to visit
The dry season, from December to April, is a great time to visit Central America. Days are warm and sunny, with low rainfall, making for excellent hiking volcanoes in Guatemala and relaxing on the beaches of Costa Rica. However, the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica experiences its driest months in September and October, while the Pacific side is at its wettest. If you don’t mind a little rain, the green season from May to November offers lush landscapes and fewer crowds, with rain typically falling in short afternoon bursts.
