Luxury Family Trips to Mexico made for you

Enjoy beach stays, culture and adventure across a variety of family destinations in Mexico

Indulge in exceptional food and discover Mexican culture on a luxury family trip to Mexico

There are plenty of family destinations in Mexico. Expect superb beaches, marine wildlife, ancient ruins, great food and fascinating cultural traditions.

We can help you decide between the chic exclusivity and marine wildlife of Los Cabos or a more low-key stay in Todos Santos. Playa del Carmen is another great option located in the Mayan Riviera with fabulous resorts and close access to the coast’s Mayan ruins. We especially recommend combining beach stays with a few privately guided experiences.

Mexico’s cities are often what make a family trip feel balanced in its variety. One of our favourites is Mérida, where families can get to know the flavours of the Yucatán in traditional eateries and local markets. In San Miguel de Allende, you can discover local food and craft traditions with tastings, hand-carved molcajetes and dining with a renowned chef.

Families can visit the Maya village of Tixkokob to learn about traditional hammock weaving with a local artisan family. Or head to Celestún Biosphere Reserve for a boat trip through the mangroves, flamingo spotting and time on the beach.

Our Latin America travel designers have years of experience creating tailor-made family trips to Mexico. You’ll be assigned a dedicated travel expert who takes care of the detail, the pacing and all the planning behind the scenes. So you can simply enjoy your family vacation from the start.

    Highlights

Get to know Mérida through its markets and traditional eateries, tasting the flavours of the Yucatán with a private guide

Explore Celestún Biosphere Reserve by boat, spotting flamingos and other birdlife before relaxing on the beach with a seafood lunch

Spend time with a Zapotec family in Teotitlán del Valle during a traditional Oaxacan cooking class

Try your hand at Puebla’s Talavera pottery with an intimate workshop and hand-painting experience

Discover Mexico City through private touring; visiting fascinating museums, historic sights and indulging some of the country’s best food

Mexico is one of my favourite destinations for families because it offers so much variety. You can spend time on the beach, explore ancient ruins, discover colourful markets and enjoy experiences that feel genuinely engaging for all ages.

    When to visit Mexico

Mexico is a large and varied country, so the climate can change noticeably from one region to another. In general, the best time to visit is from November to May, when you can expect long sunny days and very little rain. December to February can also be a good time to travel, although this period tends to bring more rainfall in some areas.
