4 Day/3 Night Lares Trek

A shorter trek with the finest Incan treasures

A short and succinct Lares trek taking in the best of the mountain and valley scenery, with visits to authentic Quechua communities and the world-famous Machu Picchu.

Beginning in the Lares Valley, spend your first night enjoying a dip in the relaxing hot springs before hiking up to Andean communities such as Huacahuasi, Patacancha and Willoq. In this remote area you will have the opportunity to visit typical houses, textile industries and families, whilst passing by herds of alpacas and llamas.

The second half of this trek takes you to Aguas Calientes and then onto the Peruvian treasure that is Machu Picchu. Devote your fourth and final day to exploring this outstanding ancient citadel alongside Huayna Picchu Mountain for spectacular views.
