A modern luxury resort, the Tambo Del Inka was opened in 2010 and offers a wide range of comforts and amenities for those seeking a luxurious stay in this scenic area.

In an exclusive position in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Tambo Del Inka is the only hotel in Urubamba with its own private train station the Machu Picchu. The modern sophisticated suites take inspiration from Incan designs, with native fabrics and décor. Each has its own private terrace overlooking the incredible natural surroundings.

Guests can unwind beside the pool which boasts excellent views of the surrounding mountains, go for an invigorating workout in the world class fitness centre or choose one of the many pampering treatments on offer at the hotel’s luxurious spa.

The in-house restaurant serves up an innovative take on the local Andean cuisine, using homegrown, organic ingredients.

Positive Impact

Community projects

The hotel has close links with the Arcos Iris Foundation and employees provide regular hospitality training to the students in Urubamba. The community of Tarapata have also been the beneficiaries of various projects including a forestry mission that has ensured Tara trees have been replanted. Other projects include a sport and recreational facility being built and sanitary systems improved.

Green leader

Tambo del Inka is the only newly constructed hotel in Peru to be LEED certified, meaning its buildings meet standards of energy efficiency, conservation and community sensitivity. The hotel also has its own organic garden that supplies both of its restaurants and other hotels in the area.

Cultural celebration

Traditional Peruvian culture is celebrated in many forms at the hotel. Huge Incan textiles adorn the rooms and the Spa features therapeutic treatments using ancestral Incan ingredients, all surrounded by sweeping views of the Andes.
