Add a little beachside relaxation to your Peruvian adventure
Far in the north of Peru are the beaches of Máncora, Punta Sal and Las Pocitas. You’ll find the resort town of Máncora in the Piura Region in the northwest. Its sandy beaches are very popular with surfers and you’ll discover many restaurants and cafes along the main street Avenida Piura. As the sun sets, the town’s lively nightlife scene ensures the vibe carries well into the night. Nearby, there are hot springs and mud baths to add to your relaxation. The nearby Las Pocitas is a quieter, more exclusive beach which is ideal for families. Pretty houses and swaying palm trees, make for a relaxing tropical backdrop.
For warmer waters head north to the coastal village of Punta Sal. The warmer climate and waters are thanks to the current of El Niño. Unsurprisingly, there are plenty of beach resorts to choose from here. Punta Sal is thought to be the longest beach on the northern Peruvian coast.
The northern beaches region is a largely desert area with a dry climate. The long expanses of coast boast some of the best beaches in Peru. Spend your days exploring the coast, going surfing, whale watching and enjoying your meals beachside at excellent cafes and restaurants.
Whether you’re looking to unwind at a luxurious resort along the Pacific coastline of Peru, or would prefer to escape to somewhere a little more secluded, we can find the perfect fit for you.

Peru is very much a year-round destination. We suggest avoiding the peak of the rainy season, which is February. Visitors in May through to September will enjoy the dry winter season, which is the best time to visit Machu Picchu and enjoy some of the incredible treks Peru has to offer.
