Spend your time relaxing and exploring this wonderful city. You have our top recommendations for activities, restaurants and shopping so that you can make the most of your time here.
Your guide will meet you at your hotel and together you'll embark on a fascinating tour of the elegant turn-of-the-century districts that have earned Buenos Aires the soubriquet of the 'Paris of South America'. You will discover the facts, stories and anecdotes that make up the colourful tapestry of the history of Buenos Aires.
Visit the epicenter of political life in Buenos Aires, a landmark dedicated to the country's independence from Spanish rule. Dominated by the Casa Rosada (Government House), the Nación Bank, the Cathedral and original Parliament House, your guide will fill you in on its history and recurring importance.
Located on the western side of the Plaza de Mayo, this is the Argentine National Congress and the legislative branch of the government of Argentina, made up of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies.
This is where the famous Caminito Street lies, scarcely 100m long, yet very much an emblematic postcard of the city. Designed by the Italian-Argentine artist Benito Quinquela Martín at a disused rail port terminal just beyond the iron cantilevered Puente de la Boca which bridges the river, it is a short yet busy pedestrian alley of brightly-painted houses which cluster above the cobblestones. The sheets of corrugated-iron shimmer with glossy blues, reds, yellows and greens and recall the original colours of the leftover paint with which the dockworkers painted their homes in the 19th century.
It might seem strange to visit a cemetery, but Recoleta doesn't fail to impress. Many mausoleums and tombs are the work of famous artists, 70 graves have been declared national monuments, but perhaps the most famous is the tomb of Evita Perón.

Overview
Estancia Puema Hue is a beautiful lodge nestled in the heart of Nahuel Huapa National Park – the country’s first and largest national park. This really is one of our absolute favorite properties in all of Argentina.
The lodge is set within 500 acres of wilderness at the southern end of Lake Gutlerrez. The landscape is one of rolling hills, pristine forest, valleys, waterfalls and creeks. Estancia Peuma Hue means ‘house of dreams’ in local Mapuche language and we certainly think it’s a very special place.
There are 14 rooms spread across five houses, all with views of the lake. Decor throughout the lodge is very traditional with wooden floors and beams, local textiles and warm colours. There are even fireplaces in the living rooms of each house. Poplar House is the main house of the estancia and as well as having rooms, it is also where meals are served. Food is a real treat here with many of the ingredients grown in their own kitchen garden and orchard.
Alternatively, choose to stay in one of their luxury yurts. These canvas yurts are 16ft in diameter and are set on rasied decks. They feature king-sized beds and en-suite bathrooms, and are a wonderful way to really immerse yourself in the natural surroundings.
There is so much to do during your stay at Estancia Puema Hue, from hiking, horse riding and kayaking to fishing, birdwatching and yoga. Children are very welcome here so this is a wonderful choice for active families.
→ Find out moreDuring your time at Peuma Hue there are a variety of different activities available for you to enjoy in idyllic surroundings, including horse riding, fishing, kayaking as well as hiking along the many trails that surround the lodge.

The hotel has been recently refurbished throughout to a high standard and in keeping with the colonial mansion style of the hotel’s original design.

A stunning tour of the falls, where you get a chance to really get up close to the falls.
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and bring you by private vehicle to the entrance of the park on the Argentinian side. You'll then be taking the rest of the tour mainly on foot, exploring the various wooden walkways that lead through the national park close to the many chutes of the falls.
One of the most spectacular sites of the falls is the Devil's Throat which sees the largest flow of water. In order to visit Devil’s Throat, visitors must board the train at the Main Station or at the Cataratas Station, close to the Upper Circuit. For those who love trekking there is the 1km Sendero Verde (Green Trail) that connects the Visitors Centre to the Cataratas Station and to the Upper Circuit.
Once you are at the Devil’s Throat Station you will have to walk for 1.100 meters on a flat catwalk built over the Upper Iguassu River. This catwalk crosses several islands. Once you get to the end of the catwalks, you will be surprised by a strategic lookout point resting on the side of the gorgeous Devil’s Throat.
Travel up river in these boats specially prepared to get to the base of Iguassu Falls and admire and feel them from up close. Whirlpools, waves and currents provoked by the Falls make this an unmissable part of any visit to the park.
Your guide will bring you to the starting point where large trucks specially adapted to this tour will take you and the other visitors to explore six kilometres in the humid subtropical forest as far as the banks of the Iguazu River, downstream from the Falls. From here you will board special high powered Zodiac boats that will take you, at high speed, to enjoy one of the most unforgettable experiences in the region. After this incredible trip, participants will get off the boat at the base of the Falls, on a catwalk that connects to the lower visitation circuit of the Falls.
