Days 1–4
Explore magnificent Mexico City
There’s something new at every turn in the megacity that is Mexico City, but you’ll likely start in the historic centre in the massive Zócalo, one of the world’s largest public squares. Explore elegant colonial streets, diverse neighbourhoods, world-class museums and Mexico City’s extraordinary food scene, from humble street stalls to internationally acclaimed restaurants.

Discovering Xochimilco
A UNESCO World Heritage site where you’ll cruise the network of canals in a colourful trajinera – a traditional flat-bottomed boat painted in bright colours – while Mariachi bands float by playing music, flower sellers paddle up offering bouquets and vendors hawk cold beers and hot quesadillas. You’ll also learn about how the Aztecs grew crops on chinampas (floating gardens).

Hot air ballooning over Teotihuacan
An unforgettable hot air balloon ride with incredible views from above of the ancient “City of the Gods,” which was once the biggest and most important city in central Mexico – centuries before the Aztecs came along. This incredible place once covered eight square miles and was home to somewhere between 125,000 and 200,000 people.

A visit to The Frida Kahlo Museum
In Coyoacan, a charming neighbourhood filled with beautiful colonial-style houses, cobblestone streets and leafy plazas, you’ll visit La Casa Azul – the bright blue house where Frida Kahlo was born and lived until she died in 1954. Walking through the rooms and gardens, you can feel her presence through her paintings and personal photos, books and furnishings.
Days 4–7
Unparalleled beauty in Punta Mita
Punta Mita is an exclusive destination on the Pacific Coast’s Riviera Nayarit. A spear-shaped peninsula edged by a jewel-blue ocean and stunning beaches on three sides, it’s backed by a lush green jungle, where elusive jaguar roam. Punta Mita is also a haven for bird and marine life, including the blue-footed booby, migrating humpback whales, and the endangered Olive Ridley turtle.

Seaside living in Punta Mita

With a few days to spend in this beautiful part of Mexico, you’ll get to explore at your leisure. Whether you have your sights set on soaking up the sun and enjoying the clear waters, or if you’d prefer to head into the village to browse the shops and art galleries, stopping for fresh seafood at a variety of beachfront restaurants, there’s plenty to ensure your time here is memorable.
