Overview
An iconic hotel for an iconic city, the Copacabana Palace is synonymous with Rio de Janeiro and is very much a destination in itself.
The rooms, facilities and service here are truly first class and you will feel very special lounging in the beautiful pool area, which is one of the most elegant in all the city.
The hotel is a short distance from the more fashionable districts (Copacabana no longer being the top of the pile) and you may find yourself making a short taxi ride to the best restaurants, bars and beaches.
Service at the Copacabana Palace is the best in the city.

Overview
The Fasano Rio is the most stylish hotel in Rio. Set on Ipanema beach front and designed by Phillipe Starck, this is a stunning property. The Fasano brings an air of understated cool and luxury that has been somewhat lacking in some of the other beach-front hotels in Rio.
The rooms are immaculately decorated with a combination of period pieces, original artwork and chic-modern style. We recommend the Deluxe sea view category or above. Each has a private balcony with views out to sea and king size beds with Egyptian cotton sheets and goose down pillows. For that extra touch of luxury and pampering, there is also butler service.
The facilities include an excellent bar, perhaps the city’s best seafood restaurant and a stunning rooftop infinity pool.

The views from the hotel are stunning and many of the rooms have balconies. The rooftop pool is a great place to unwind and the hotel’s restaurant is one of the very best in the city.

Overview
Set in the charming old colonial neighbourhood of Santa Teresa, this hotel offers a different approach to the Rio experience away from the high rise beach hotels. The location up on the hill offers a great viewpoint from which to admire the city and an oasis of calm in which to relax.
The hotel has full spa facilities, beautifully decorated rooms, and a great pool area. Formally a colonial farm house, the building has been carefully restored and converted with its history in mind and a light modern touch; using old woods and natural fabric but cut with clean modern lines. Rooms are also equipped with all modern comforts that you would expect in a contemporary luxury hotel.
→ Find out moreWith a few days in the 'Marvellous City', you can explore and enjoy Rio at your leisure. You'll have a full set of recommendations and advice from us on how best to make the most of the city.
You'll be met at your hotel by your expert, English-speaking Carioca guide and a private vehicle will be waiting to start your city tour of Rio. Your guide will tailor the tour to how you wish, taking into account your pace and preference. You'll enjoy a tour of the Santa Teresa neighbourhood, often referred to as the Montmartre of Rio, set into the hills close to the centre of town, which still retains a rich cultural atmosphere of art, music and history. Then you'll head over to the historic centre of Rio where your guide will escort you through the narrow 19th-century streets at your required pace, stopping at the magnificent Baroque churches and the ruins of the old port from where most of Brazil’s gold left for its long journey to Europe. Next, you'll choose between visiting Christ the Redeemer or Sugar Loaf Mountain, Rio’s most famous attractions. At 710 metres above the centre on the Corcovado Hill, the statue of Christ is surrounded by wide, open terraces from where you can get unbeatable vistas of the city's impressive littoral, the southern neighbourhoods of Copacabana and Ipanema, the lagoon, the Sugar Loaf and the town of Niterói. Sugar Loaf Mountain is a massive granite rock, which sits 396 metres tall and is one of the city’s most emblematic landmarks, adorning many a postcard.
The Christ the Redeemer statue is Rio’s most famous attraction with his arms stretched out, he looks to be blessing the entire city. The faded grandeur of this part of the city, often referred to as the Montmartre of Rio, set into the hills close to the centre of town, still retains a rich cultural atmosphere of art, music and history. Mansions line the narrow streets, and you can stop for a drink or lunch at one of the many charming restaurants, bistros and cafes that populate Santa Teresa. Your guide will also take you to the Ruins Park, a cultural centre in the remains of a 19th-century house, which has a Belvedere that commands some of the best views over Rio de Janeiro.

You'll also see many other culturally interesting and historical attractions that illustrate the city’s rich and varied heritage.
This massive granite rock, 396 metres tall, is one of the city’s most emblematic landmarks, adorning many a postcard. You'll take the cable car with your guide from the Guanabara Bay entrance in the Urca District. At the top, the view of Rio de Janeiro and its neighbourhoods sprawled over the bays and coves, is quite spectacular.
Join Felipe and Isabela in their home for an evening cooking and caipirinha-making class. This is a fantastic opportunity to get under the skin of Rio de Janeiro, find out how the locals live, learn a new dish and be taught the secrets of making an authentic Brazilian caipirinha. Actually inside the national park on the Brazilian side, this luxury property is ideally located. Walking out from the lobby one can hear the thunder of the falls and the hotel is surrounded by lush tropical rainforest.
The hotel has been recently refurbished throughout to a high standard and in keeping with the colonial mansion style of the hotel’s original design.
The hotel has large rooms with high ceilings, hard wood flooring and period style furniture. There is a large pool area in the rear to relax at with a drink after a day exploring the falls.
→ Find out moreEnjoy this stunning natural wonder of the world, with a private tour, a boat safari or a hike through the surrounding national park.
Enjoy this stunning tour of the falls, where you'll get a chance to really get up close to the chutes.
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and bring you by private vehicle to the entrance of the park on the Argentinian side. You'll then be taking the rest of the tour mainly on foot, exploring the various wooden walkways that lead through the national park close up to the many chutes of the falls.
One of the most spectacular sights of the falls is the Devil's Throat, which sees the largest flow of water. In order to visit the Devil’s Throat, you must board the train at the Main Station or at the Cataratas Station, close to the Upper Circuit. For those who love trekking, there's the one-kilometre-long Sendero Verde (Green Trail) that connects the Visitors Centre to the Cataratas Station and to the Upper Circuit.
Once you're at the Devil’s Throat Station, you'll have to walk for 1.100 meters on a flat walkway built over the Upper Iguassu River. This walkway crosses several islands and once you get to the end of the walkway, you'll be surprised by a strategic lookout point resting on the side of the gorgeous Devil’s Throat.
You'll venture up the river in a boat, which is specially prepared to get to the base of Iguassu Falls, allowing you to admire the chutes up close. Whirlpools, waves and currents are provoked by the falls, making this an unmissable part of any visit to the park.
Your guide will bring you to the starting point, where large trucks, specially adapted for this tour, will take you and the other visitors to explore a six-kilometre-stretch in the humid subtropical forest as far as the banks of the Iguazu River, downstream from the falls. From here, you'll board special high-powered Zodiac boats that will take you, at high speed, to enjoy one of the most unforgettable experiences in the region. After this incredible trip, you'll get off the boat at the base of the falls on the walkway that connects to the lower visitation circuit of the falls. This tour can be started in the reverse direction, from this walkway downwards ending with the jungle truck ride.

- Stunning views over the Ecological Reserve and the quaysides of Puerto Madero
Overview
The Faena Buenos Aires is a striking design hotel in the waterside neighborhood of Puerto Madero, the brainchild of local empresario Alan Faena and designer Philippe Starck.
The hotel is located in the restored El Porteño building, an enormous silo built in 1902 that produced grain for post-war Europe. The décor encapsulates the grandeur of the belle époque that characterised Buenos Aires at the turn of last century. A red, black and white colour scheme runs through the hotel teamed with exposed brick walls and concrete pillars that hark back to its industrious past.
Rooms and suites are filled with eye catching touches such as hand embroidered throws and filigree mirrors and feature huge windows which look out over Ecological Reserve, the parks, Río de la Plata and the quaysides of Puerto Madero.
Eating and drinking at the Faena is a real treat. Enjoy fine dining at Bistro Sur where the menu is inspired by the finest seasonal Argentinian produce, or opt for something more casual at El Mercado which is inspired by the country’s famous cantinas and the open air markets of Europe. The Library Lounge is an intimate space filled with antique books and crysal chandeliers, while El Cabaret, inspired by the city’s 1920s tango clubs, is where you can catch the award-winning show, Rojo Tango.
The hotel also features a spa, fitness centre and an outdoor pool.

Spend your time relaxing and exploring this wonderful city. You have our top recommendations for activities, restaurants and shopping so that you can make the most of your time here.
Your guide will meet you at your hotel and bring you (with a private vehicle) on a fascinating private tour of the elegant turn-of-the-century districts that earned Buenos Aires the soubriquet of 'the Paris of South America'. The tour includes a trip to La Boca district in the south and then up to the charming cobbled alleys and colonial architecture of San Telmo and along to the Plaza de Mayo, up the leafy Avenida de Mayo towards the imposing grandeur of the Palace of Congress and then on to the historically fascinating Recoleta Cemetery. You'll also discover the facts, stories and anecdotes that make up the colourful tapestry of the history of Buenos Aires.
Visit the epicenter of political life in Buenos Aires, a landmark dedicated to the country's independence from Spanish rule. Your guide will fill you in on its history and recurring importance.
Located on the western side of the Plaza de Mayo, this is the Argentine National Congress and the legislative branch of the government of Argentina, made up of the senate and the Chamber of Deputies.
This is where the famous Caminito Street lies, scarcely 100 metres long, yet very much an emblematic post-card of the city. Designed by the Italian-Argentine artist, Benito Quinquela Martín, it's a short yet busy pedestrian alley of brightly-painted houses that cluster above the cobblestones. The sheets of corrugated-iron shimmer with glossy blues, reds, yellows and greens and recall the original colours of the leftover paint with which the dockworkers painted their homes in the 19th century.
It might seem strange to visit a cemetery, but Recoleta doesn't fail to impress. Many mausoleums and tombs are the work of famous artists and 70 graves have been declared national monuments, but perhaps the most famous for visitors is the tomb of Evita Perón.

It’s this hotel’s bizarrely beautiful shape, designed to imitate that of a sun-bleached fossil on the ruggedly wild shores of Lake Sarmiento, which makes Tierra Patagonia such a striking place to stay. In fact, this sustainable lodge is known worldwide for its innovative architecture, which blends naturally into the landscape. The revitalised pampa, where the complex is based, has benefited from great conservation efforts, as well as focus on minimising footprint in this beautiful area.
This impressive blonde-wooded, design-led ‘shell’ houses 40 simple yet sophisticated Scandinavian-style rooms. Their exposed timber interiors create a tangible Sauna-like warmth that contrasts well with the views of the desolate pampas outside. There are family apartments of two adjoining rooms available, as well as the extensive Uma Spa, which is particularly welcomed after a hard day hiking the Torres del Paine National Park, which is simple given the hotel’s superb team of guides and the varied activities on offer here. Overview
You wouldn’t think that the spectacular Patagonian region of Torres del Paine could get any better regarding luxurious design-led hotels, but it has, courtesy of the exclusive sibling hotel to Awasi Atacama, and the only lodge in the area to offer tailor-made excursions for each guest. Adding to that, a portion of the proceeds from each guest’s stay helps to support The Awasi Patagonia Conservation Project, which aims to create a natural corridor for wildlife. Awasi guides also help to monitor the puma populations and keep hunters away, increasing the properties, and its guests, positive impact on the region.
14 wooden-clad, shipping crate-style ‘villas’, which were inspired by the old outpost shelters, lie scattered over the wind-protected private reserve, facing the epic Lake Sarmiento and the famous three-tower peaks. Inside, the warming and minimal Scandinavian cabin decor nicely cushions you from the harsh weather outside, with natural wood interiors, large inviting beds, your own living room with log fireplaces, a hot tub and with every modern amenity to hand. The master villa, which has two bedrooms, is perfect for families.
The dispersal of these freestanding villas befits the solitude of your surroundings, giving you a pleasing level of privacy but also a heightened experience of the landscape’s isolation.
The main house, just a short walk from the villas, features a Relais & Chateaux restaurant, terrace and living area. Awasi is renowned not only for its style, but for tailoring its tours to each individual guest and for serving delectable gourmet food. Guests can choose whatever excursions they want to do, without having to compromise for the sake of a group.

Housed in the restored, post-Victorian cold-storage factory ‘Frigorifico Puerto Bories’, the Singular Patagonia is part of a National Monument that has been sympathetically and stylishly converted into one of Patagonia’s most elegant hotels.
Located on the shores of the Señoret Channel, at the end of the Ultima Esperanza Sound, the Singular Patagonia is ideally placed for expeditions to some of Patagonia’s most inaccessible parts and sights. With two of their own boats to explore the intricate fjords, channels and islands, as well as a wealth of other land-based activities, you really will have the entirety of the Torres del Paine at your disposal.
The hotel’s décor blends regional character with the building’s unique history for a contemporary industrial chic fused with a warm, old-style comfort. All of its 57 rooms command steely Patagonian views over the channel water or rugged plains, whilst soft carpets, cosy beds and traditional pieces of furniture add a warmth to their bunker-style design of bare concrete walls and seamless glass windows.
For dining the Singular Restaurant celebrates the mountain ridges of Seno Última Esperanza, presenting locally-sourced ingredients fused with French trends. Indulge in traditional Chilean dishes in a delightful historic and rustic atmosphere of the property’s 100-year-old former blacksmith’s forge at El Asador. We also highly recommend Pisco Sours at sunset.
The main highlight of the Singular Patagonia, however, is certainly its experiences. Enjoy everything Chilean Patagonia has to offer: visit local estancias, explore the Milodon Caves or head out to the town of Puerto Natales and wander through its mountainous national park.

Set in the picturesque Colchagua Valley in Chile’s verdant wine region, a half-day’s drive from Santiago, Clos Apalta is a family-owned estate owned by a seventh-generation winemaker. A boutique hotel and winery with a blend of French and Chilean expertise and design, resulting in exquisite wines and an exceptional stay. The property features ten luxurious accommodations, four casitas and six larger villas, all with spacious bedrooms, living areas, spa-like bathrooms and private sundecks. The villas also include their own plunge pools.
Clos Apalta is committed to sustainability, for example its compost and water treatment plants are 100% organic and energy saving. The vineyard is also completely organic and their wine exports are carbon neutral.
There’s plenty of activities to enjoy while staying in Clos Apalta including visiting the winery, wine tastings, cooking lessons with the head chef and outdoor activities such as hiking, biking and horseback riding where foxes, peregrine falcons, and eagles call this stunning landscape home.

Overview
The extraordinary sophistication and contemporary chic of the Vik Chile is quite simply unparalleled in Chile’s wine region.
Fresh from an extensive refurbishment, this 22-room (with seven Puro Vik glass pods) avant garde luxury boutique hotel is set within the 4,400-hectare Millahue Valley and Vik vineyard, just two hours south of Santiago in the Colchagua Valley area. Each suite is individually themed and decorated, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows which allow guests to take in the majestic views of the region. A newer addition to the hotel, guests can now choose to stay in one of the separate Puro Vik glass pods, providing an incredible vantage point for overlooking the valley.
The lodge is decorated in keeping with the vineyard’s holistic and ecological principles and it’s almost as if the exterior’s inconspicuous minimalism was intended to touch the hillside on which it perches. This spectacular sense of floating is further emphasised by seamless glass windows-for-walls in the rooms. Yet the insightful use of dark heavy woods, rough natural materials, functional furniture and a minimal elegance also makes the lodge feel contrastingly very solid, grounded and stylishly real.
The lodge enjoys uninterrupted views of the vineyards and lake and there is a cosy sitting area with a fireplace, patios with sofas, and a well-equipped and elegant dining room where excellent traditional Chilean cuisine is served.
Plenty of activities and expeditions can be arranged to suit guests according to their time and preferences, especially with immediate if not exclusive access to the vineyard and winery.

Overview
Set around 50 miles from Santiago in the Casablanca region, this boutique vineyard produces entirely organic wine. This is a traditional wine ‘Estancia’ and was originally built at the beginning of the 20th Century set in it’s own San Antonio Valley of around 27,000 acres. The main building housing the accommodation blends traditional style with plush furnishings and was entirely refurbished in 2004. Rooms are spacious and have their own private terrace.
The winery itself is an advanced gravity-flow facility producing excellent Syrah (judged to be among one of the world’s best). There is an excellent restaurant on site and a good number of activities to keep guests occupied including horseback riding and harvesting, as well as relaxing in the beautiful gardens.

Overview
A chic and highly anticipated addition to Mendoza’s collection of boutique properties.
A contemporary, low-lying structure, the hotel seems to have been built so as not to disturb the uniform horizon of the Uco Valley’s perfectly combed vineyards. The smart collection of twenty-two villas echo this style and with their exposed interior stone facades, wall-to-ceiling windows, earthy tones and simple elegance combine for an aura of modernistic calm. There are one or two bedroom sizes available, and each comes with its own modern kitchen, sitting areas and private patio.
And there’s more.
The hotel has additionally modeled itself on being a culinary resort as well, managing to secure a restaurant designed by the internationally renowned chef, Francis Mallmann. There is a Winery on the estate for tastings, wine making tours and activities, not to mention a full spa for expert pampering.
Try some horse riding in the morning through the vineyards and high blue skies, followed by breakfast and a swim in the infinity pool that drops off into the combed lines of twisted vines beyond. In the afternoon, maybe some wine tasting with lunch and a spoiling treatment at the spa.

Overview
Certainly standing out from most other Mendoza hotels, EntreCielos is very much on the contemporary cusp and bravely looks ahead to luxury wine lodges of the future.
In-keeping with the minimal modernist design, the exterior is non-descript and inside takes the mould of a concrete bunker. However, don’t let this discourage you because the décor of soft, sparkling floor and ceiling lights as well as the rich textures and inviting soft furnishings gives it a stylish and luxurious warmth. A total renovation of the property was completed in May 2011 and the rough bare walls interrupted with sheer glass playing out the beyond scenery of vines, mountains and skies makes for a pleasant journey of contrast when walking the maze-like hallways.
There is a large spa modelled on the traditional Hammam, where you can get a massage, facial, sit back in steam rooms, or plunge yourself between hot and cold pools.
Five categories of rooms are grouped and styled to the different ages of wine, and all have private terraces, iPod docks, air con and free WiFi. The ‘Young’ or superior rooms exude a fun vibe and are good for families. ‘Classic’ or superior deluxe rooms are slightly bigger, come with a four-poster bed or twin and have bright, vibrant bathrooms with a freestanding bath tub. Next up is the ‘Reserva’ or junior suites with similar amenities to the Classic yet is 50m² and at 85 m² is the ‘Gran Reserva’ or Duplex suite (of which there are 4), which enjoys two levels and unique views of the Andes, vineyards and surrounding gardens. At the top is ‘Grand Cru’ or super king with 95 m² to roam about in, a private terrace with Jacuzzi, rainforest shower and coffee machine. Currently uncompleted but soon to pip the Grand Cru is the exclusively private vineyard loft.
With a good range of activities and a helpful team of staff, the food served in the in-house restaurant is very good and well matched with the wine from their cavernous cellar.

→ Find out moreSpend your time enjoying the beautiful Mendoza region. Visit wineries, enjoy the restaurants or simply relax at your hotel.
An expert local guide will collect you from your hotel and bring you for an enjoyable sample of the different wineries in the Mendoza area.
The Central Valley or Primera Zona (the closest to the city of Mendoza) includes the counties of Luján de Cuyo, Maipú, Guaymallén and Godoy Cruz. This is the home of malbec and where some of the most prestigious Argentine wineries are located. Originally from Bordeaux, France, this variety found the ideal place to prosper in Mendoza given the agro-climatic conditions of the area.
This is a private tour and can be entirely specialised to your requirements, just let your Travel Designer know if you have any special requests.
During the tour, you'll visit three different wineries, we suggest a mix of smaller, boutique establishments and the larger operations, to give you a chance to see the contrasts and differences. During the visit, you'll always be accompanied by your private guide, though during the visits and tastings themselves, you'll also be with the wineries' own guide (and there may be other guests). We can arrange for visits to be entirely private if you prefer.
Finally, in the afternoon, you'll stop at one of the top Bodega restaurants (such as La Tupina or Ruca Malen) for a chance to really enjoy the wine as it is meant to be; with great food. You have a gourmet tasting lunch paired with wines from the Bodega.
Your first sighting on this exciting Andes tour will be the Pre Mountain Range and the snowy Cordillera Frontal. While driving between these two different ranges, you'll witness the scenic Potrerillos Lake before arriving at the Vallecitos ski resort.
Once you have left the ski resort, you'll begin trekking into a gorge with the prominent sights of Mount Franke and San Bernardo surrounding you. Following a water stream, you'll approach the first flat land where many a water spring and the grand mount Vallecitos are found, making it the ideal place to enjoy a tasty lunch.
If the mood takes you, after lunch you'll have the option of trekking for a further hour towards a wide valley filled with earth and stones. This area is sometimes covered in snow throughout the winter months so you may be required to track with snow shoes here.

How we work
This is an epic and entirely memorable three-week adventure exploring the scintillating cities, stirring scenery and exquisite wines of three spectacular Latin American countries: Brazil, Argentina and Chile. All expertly guided with private tours and transfers throughout to ensure you see the best in relaxed, refined, typical Jacada-style. Kick off with one of the world’s most exciting capitals, Rio de Janeiro. Savour the sights and flavours of this exotic city, before getting up close to one of the world’s most impressive natural wonders, Iguassu Falls. Delving into Argentina, experience two very different cities, the buzzing capital of Buenos Aires and the city ‘at the end of the world’, Ushuaia, where civilisation meets dramatic surrounds. The mighty landscapes then continue with giant ice-blue glaciers in El Calafate, plus wild peaks and sparkling lakes in Torres del Paine. Now in Chile, begin to wind down with a short stay in Santiago and an indulgent taste of the region’s wineries. Two days in Rio de Janeiro With a few days in the 'Marvellous City', you can explore and enjoy Rio at your leisure. You'll have a full set of recommendations and advice from us on how best to make the most of the city. |
|
Tour of Rio de Janeiro You'll be met at your hotel by your expert, English-speaking Carioca guide and a private vehicle will be waiting to start your city tour of Rio. |
|
Visit Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado Mountain The Christ the Redeemer statue is Rio’s most famous attraction with his arms stretched out, he looks to be blessing the entire city. At 710 metres above the centre on Corcovado Mountain, the statue is surrounded by wide, open terraces from where you get unbeatable vistas of the city's impressive littoral, the southern neighbourhoods of Copacabana and Ipanema, the lagoon, the Sugar Loaf and the town of Niterói. |
|
Visit the neighbourhood of Santa Teresa The faded grandeur of this part of the city, often referred to as the Montmartre of Rio, set into the hills close to the centre of town, still retains a rich cultural atmosphere of art, music and history. |

Tour the historic centre of Rio de Janeiro Your guide will escort you through the narrow 19th-century streets at your required pace, stopping at the magnificent Baroque churches and the ruins of the old port from where most of Brazil’s gold left for its long journey to Europe. You'll also see many other culturally interesting and historical attractions that illustrate the city’s rich and varied heritage. |
|
Visit Sugar Loaf Mountain This massive granite rock, 396 metres tall, is one of the city’s most emblematic landmarks, adorning many a postcard. You'll take the cable car with your guide from the Guanabara Bay entrance in the Urca District. At the top, the view of Rio de Janeiro and its neighbourhoods sprawled over the bays and coves, is quite spectacular. |

Rio de Janeiro cooking experience Join Felipe and Isabela in their home for an evening cooking and caipirinha-making class. This is a fantastic opportunity to get under the skin of Rio de Janeiro, find out how the locals live, learn a new dish and be taught the secrets of making an authentic Brazilian caipirinha. Begin your evening with a cocktail masterclass, before preparing a traditional Brazilian dish. Enjoy your meal out on the terrace with a bottle of wine and a view of the famous Christ the Redeemer statue. |

Two days in Iguassu Falls Enjoy this stunning natural wonder of the world, with a private tour, a boat safari or a hike through the surrounding national park. |
|
Private tour to Iguassu Falls Argentinean side, including boat trip Enjoy this stunning tour of the falls, where you'll get a chance to really get up close to the chutes. |
|
Gran Aventura by boat You'll venture up the river in a boat, which is specially prepared to get to the base of Iguassu Falls, allowing you to admire the chutes up close. |

Buenos Aires city tour with La Boca Your guide will meet you at your hotel and bring you (with a private vehicle) on a fascinating private tour of the elegant turn-of-the-century districts that earned Buenos Aires the soubriquet of 'the Paris of South America'.

Plaza de Mayo Visit the epicenter of political life in Buenos Aires, a landmark dedicated to the country's independence from Spanish rule. Your guide will fill you in on its history and recurring importance. |

Palace of Congress Located on the western side of the Plaza de Mayo, this is the Argentine National Congress and the legislative branch of the government of Argentina, made up of the senate and the Chamber of Deputies. |
|
La Boca This is where the famous Caminito Street lies, scarcely 100 metres long, yet very much an emblematic post-card of the city. |
|
Recoleta Cemetery It might seem strange to visit a cemetery, but Recoleta doesn't fail to impress. Many mausoleums and tombs are the work of famous artists and 70 graves have been declared national monuments, but perhaps the most famous for visitors is the tomb of Evita Perón. |
