Africa Concierge

Growing up on a small island in the Caribbean, I felt that it was too small and always dreamed of exploring the world, but never had the means. Once I was old enough, I took a job on a cruise ship, figuring it was the perfect way to see new places while earning a living. A few years later, I moved to South Africa, joined a destination management company, and haven’t looked back since.

My most memorable trip

The Kalahari

One of my most unforgettable trips was to Tswalu Kalahari Reserve, a remarkable destination in South Africa. This place truly exceeded my expectations. Everything on offer was exceptional—we had a private vehicle, a dedicated guide and tracker, and even our own chef and butler, making the experience feel uniquely tailored and luxurious. The landscapes were breathtaking, with vast, open spaces and stunning scenery that felt unlike anywhere else in South Africa. Every meal was a unique dining experience, and the range of activities allowed us to connect deeply with the surroundings. However, what really made this trip memorable was the people. The level of service was outstanding, and the warmth and attentiveness of the staff made us feel at home in this extraordinary place.

The best destination for families

South Africa

For me the best destination for families is South Africa, especially the Kruger National Park and Cape Town region. These areas are family-friendly with plenty of activities and options for various age groups, including safaris, cultural experiences, and beautiful beaches. South Africa also offers malaria-free safari regions like Addo Elephant Park in the Eastern Cape, Madikwe and the Waterberg, which are ideal for families with younger children.

My favourite trip

Green Season Family Safari

My favourite example itinerary is the Luxury Green Season Family Safari. This is a perfect example of how we can build a memorable family trip, combining two of Southern Africa’s most spectacular safari destinations, including the amazing landscapes of Botswana and Zambia. Both regions are wild, wonderful, and offer unforgettable wildlife experiences.

My favourite hotel

Matetsi Victoria Falls

It’s hard to choose a favourite among so many incredible hotels we offer, but if I had to pick, it would be Matetsi Victoria Falls. Its stunning location is near one of the world’s most iconic natural wonders. The rooms are beautifully appointed, providing all the luxurious comforts you’d expect from a five-star lodge and more. What truly sets Matetsi apart is its deep commitment to conservation, evident not only in the preservation of the land but also in the dedication of the staff.
