Heather Evans

Head of Client Experience

Born in a village in South Wales, I grew up in England near Bath and the rolling countryside hills of Somerset. At 18, I terrified my family by booking a one-way ticket to Vietnam, and in one way or another have been travelling ever since. I recently hit my 40th country, and as long as I have travels planned, I am happy!

In my role I am all about cultivating connections, something I have definitely developed in travelling. Abroad, you have to talk to strangers and ask people for help, and the best trips are those you come home from with lots of new friends – locals and other intrepid explorers! One of our core living values here at Jacada is to ‘cultivate connections’, and I love that we are always talking to people all over the world, and finding out little cultural differences and commonalities between cultures every day.

I was lucky enough to visit Iceland not too long ago and stay at the magnificent Deplar Farm. Miles from anywhere, we arrived in the evening, and stepping out of the Superjeep, I saw more stars than I knew was possible for the naked eye to see. It felt like being at the very end of the earth… but with a geo-thermally heated pool, a swim-up bar, and five-star service! You have to go and see it for yourself – it’s worth every penny.
