I caught the travel bug at a young age. My dad is South African and we spent many holidays in Cape Town visiting family, on safari or exploring the Garden Route along the coast. My mum was born in Canada and worked in the travel industry, so we were encouraged to explore the world whenever possible. We did an amazing family trip to Hong Kong and China in 2007 and this really opened my eyes to what was out there in the big wide world.
From the moment I started earning my own money, all I wanted to spend it on was travel. After uni I headed off backpacking with a friend – we explored New Zealand, Thailand and South America.
Since then I have been lucky enough to travel to lots of fabulous European cities and islands as well as exploring more of Africa, including the very special Madagascar. My bucket list includes seeing sloths in Costa Rica, taking in the sights and culture of India and experiencing Antarctica and all its amazing scenery and wildlife.

My most memorable trip
South Africa
South Africa remains one of the most special places I have ever been. We have lots of family there and have spent a lot of time exploring Cape Town and its amazing wine, food and getting know the people who live there, as well as venturing further north to go on safari.
My favourite hotel
The Taj Lake Palace
Staying at this iconic floating hotel in the middle of a lake in Udaipur, India, was a dream come true. It is famous for featuring in the James Bond film Octopussy of which I am a huge fan. The views from the roof are stunning and you get some pretty great sunsets too.

This epic trip takes you from the grand palaces of Rajasthan to the lush backwaters of Kerala, showcasing India at its best.
