My lust for travel started at age 14 after attending a World Scout Jamboree in Chile. After camping for a week in Moztasal just outside Santiago, I spend a week living with a family in Quilmes, Buenos Aires. The experience was absolutely life-changing and from that point on I set out to see as much of the world as possible. In 2007 I set off on a new adventure to live and work in Australia for a few years. On my way there I travelled through South East Asia for 4 months spending time exploring Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos. It amazed me how different all the countries were. The stunning beaches and national parks of Thailand, the Angkor Temples in Cambodia, and the history of Vietnam and how it’s moved on in recent years.
Asia, Australasia, Indian Subcontinent, South Pacific

My most memorable trip

Thailand

My most memorable trip was to Thailand in 2007. It was my first solo trip across the other side of the world and first to visiting Asia. The first 3 nights were booked at a hotel just of Khao San Road and the rest was unknown. I'll never forget the feeling arriving in the bustling city of Bangkok, the traffic, the heat and the amazing smells from the street food vendors. Soon I had met other travelers in the same position and was on my way to Koh Samui and Koh Phangan. Although, I had seen them on television nothing prepares you for the experience in real life.

On my bucket list

Bhutan

My bucket list destination would be Bhutan. It's such a unique and less visited country where the local culture has remained throughout time. People still wear traditional dress to go about their daily lives. The amazing scenery valleys, mountains and scenery are also incredible.
