I fell in love with travel after I took my first solo trip to Australia when I was 20. I backpacked from Sydney to Cairns and I loved the freedom that travel brought and all the exciting destinations and amazing people I met along the way. That trip led to so many more (mostly leaving the backpack behind these days, taking my toddler with instead) and I haven’t looked back since!

Europe

My most memorable trip

Sri Lanka

I have taken loads of special trips but one destination that really stands out is Sri Lanka. I proposed to my fiancee there and we returned for a second time in the lead up to my son being born as a final holiday as a 2. I think I fell in love with the place as the people are so friendly and the beaches and food's amazing, what's not to like!

Best kept secret destination

Ljubljana

I really enjoyed Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Not only is it a beautiful city in it's own rights but its the perfect gateway to the lakes which are largely undiscovered to travelers from outside Europe.

Ultimate Iceland

My favorite trip is the ultimate Iceland experience. Iceland is one of my favorite destinations and it offers an amazing experience year round. There is so many cool actives you can do there so it really appeals to everyone. Want to snorkel through tectonic plates, relax in a geothermal pool or experience the unusual cuisine of Reykjavik, no problem!

My favourite hotel

Grand Hotel Tremezzo

I love the Grand Hotel Tremezzo on Lake Como, the hotel is absolutely stunning with great views over the lake and service to match. When I stayed here I took an amazing boat trip from directly outside the hotel and explored the lake form the waterside, amazing!
