Travel is an integral part of who I am. It is not just about seeing new sights – it’s about deepening my understanding of the world and the people in it. There is nothing I love more than exploring new places, uncovering their secrets and immersing myself in their unique histories and cultures. As someone with a deep passion for history, I find myself captivated by ancient temples and historical landmarks that offer a glimpse into the past. The Asia Pacific region is rich in diverse cultures, breathtaking landscapes and fascinating stories that make every journey unforgettable. From hiking through the stunning foothills of the Annapurna range in Nepal, and relaxing on beautiful beaches in Thailand and Malaysia, to encountering kangaroos in Australia – every corner of this region has something unique to offer.
I thrive on stepping off the beaten path and engaging with local communities. To me, the best way to connect with a place and its people is through food! The flavors, ingredients and cooking techniques reveal so much about a society’s history, traditions and values. When I plan my trips, I always seek out the authentic culinary experiences that allow me to truly understand and appreciate a place.

My most memorable trip
Malaysia
I truly loved my trip to Malaysia. Whilst many people opt to head straight to Borneo, the mainland offers so much and is often overlooked! Kuala Lumpur has a buzzing cafe and bar scene, where you sip delicious drinks between high rises and historical local markets. The beaches in Malaysia were some of the most stunning I’ve ever seen, with all the views of Thailand but half the tourists. Penang is one of my favourite places; a charming UNESCO town, oozing in history, culture and above all, probably the best food scene of any country I’ve been to - you can never go wrong with a Roti Canai and Rendang!
Best destination for families
Thailand
Thailand is a fantastic family destination. In a relatively short amount of time, you can take yourself to 3 very distinct parts of a country. From the bustling city of Bangkok, where you can visit unique floating markets, up to elephants in the beautiful Chiang Mai countryside. I always like to finish trips relaxing on the stunning beaches down south. With delicious food, easy routes, and so much to do, Thailand truly is the destination with something for everyone.

This Sri Lanka itinerary is one of my top recommendations, offering an exceptional way to experience the country’s natural beauty and rich local culture. From scenic hikes and thrilling safaris to exploring the lush tea plantations and unwinding on pristine beaches, this trip ensures there’s never a dull moment. With a perfect balance of adventure and relaxation, it’s the ultimate way to explore Sri Lanka in its entirety.

My favourite hotel
Capella Ubud
My recent trip to Indonesia took me to the absolutely beautiful Capella Ubud. Designed by Bill Bensley, this iconic luxury tented camping experience offers a hotel for a traveller who is looking to be delightfully surprised and who is looking for more than a traditional hotel stay. This accommodation provides more than just a bed to sleep in; it’s a true destination on its own to explore and a fantastic base to explore the beautiful surroundings of Ubud.
